Hello crafter's. Are you well?

I'm back with you, with another card made using pretty patterned papers. More specifically, this was made using the 'Buds and Blooms' 6x6 paper pad - part of a collection of beautiful new 6x6 paper pads. If you're like me, I don't throw away any scraps less than 1cm in size so this particular design is a great way of using up your scraps.

Let's get to it...

Start by going through your paper stash and grabbing some scraps that colour coordinate. Obviously, here I've not used scraps but you definitely should! Paper pads are great as they generally colour coordinate so try and keep your scraps together with the original pad from which they came.

For this card, I'll be making 5 banners so I selected 5 pieces.

Now trim them all down to the same size. I didn't actually measure these but they need to fit on an a6 card blank.

Cut some tails into one end of the banners. I find the way to get either side of the tail of equal size is the snip through the centre, then snip diagonally from the corners to the top of this snip.

Prepare your card blank. I went for a UK A6 top fold. Then, cut a piece of matching card approx 5mm smaller round each edge than the card blank.

Stick your banners down to this panel, just one end, using wet adhesive.

Now, stamp your sentiment. I used a simple sentiment by Dovecraft. I heat embossed this in white.

Then, adhere a strip of plain coloured coordinating card across the top of the banners, edge to edge of your card panel using wet adhesive.

Finally, adhere your panel to your card. My card distorted from the heating embossing process so I used double sided tape to adhere my panel as the added benefit of this is that it also straightens warped card.

Then, add a little embellishment to finish. I added a small wooden shaped button and topped this with a small twine bow.

The card is now complete!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Until next time, take care.

Love, Dani xx
